My research focusses on the impact of gender and intersectionality on people’s perceived accessibility in The Netherlands. Using surveys, I will gather data to analyse the way gender and intersectionality impact (perceived) accessibility, to finally connect the results from this analysis to the current transport system. This way, potential gender equity problems in the transport system can be identified, which is important information for future gender equity improvements for this system.
After my bachelor in Technology, Policy and Management, with a specialization in Transport and Logistics, I decided to continue my studies at this faculty where I am now a second year student of the Msc. Complex Systems Engineering and Management, again with a specialization in Transport and Logistics. I am interested in a wide range of subjects, also shown by the various electives I have taken in the first semester of my second year, which included Logistics and Supply Chain Innovations, Cyber Risk Management, Introduction to Water Governance and Ethics of AI. In my second semester I will focus on my research with CUSP and be able to combine my top two interests: transport and mobility and gender equity.
