I am a PhD Researcher at the Department of Human-Centered Design, Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering, Delft University of Technology. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning and a Master’s degree in Urban Design from the Middle East Technical University.
I have a background in urban planning and design with practical and academic experience touching different aspects, mediums, and scales of urban planning and design research and practice. Additionally, I have been involved in several research projects and planning practices at the local and national levels.
My research agenda focuses on urban informatics, digital participation, urban morphology, and climate-resilient city-making. I am driven by the belief that the future of urban planning lies at the intersection of technology, community engagement, and climate-responsive design. In parallel, during my PhD journey, I will work on exploring new methodologies for digital participation that can encourage active citizen engagement in urban planning and design processes and ultimately maximise civic decision-making in climate-resilient city-making.
In addition to my researcher profile, participating in design and planning competitions is a passion for me! I am keen to discover design challenges to provide new playgrounds for my research interests. So, if you need a competition buddy, you might find me :)
